Purpose of the event
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for the year 2030 are being implemented around the world.
Currently, Japan is making progress in its efforts to achieve the SDGs. On the other hand, there are many issues that are regarded as difficult to achieve in Japan.
What is needed to solve the many problems and issues surrounding us and to create a sustainable society?
There are to learn from overseas examples that are ahead of Japan, not only from a domestic perspective but also from a global standard perspective, and for each and every citizen to take action to achieve the SDGs.
At the KANAZAWA MIRAI SUMMIT 2021, we will create an opportunity to think together with people from various regions and take action to achieve the SDGs for the problems and issues of Kanazawa and the world under the banner of "ONE ACTION.
We hope to make Kanazawa a more brilliant city for the next generation.

The awareness of the SDGs among Kanazawa citizens has been increasing.
In order to achieve a sustainable Kanazawa City, each individual's action is important.
By starting with "one action" toward achieving the SDGs, the entire city of Kanazawa can create a shining and happy Kanazawa for the children of the next generation.

What needs to be done in the future for Kanazawa to become a diversity and inclusion city where everyone can respect each other and play an active role?
In the first part, we will hold a talk session with experts from various fields, inviting Keiko Kojima as a facilitator.
In the second part, through a keynote speech by Audrey Tan, Taiwan's Minister of Digital Affairs, we will learn how to realize a society where everyone can live happily from Taiwan, a leading region in diversity and inclusion.

「Road to Zero Carbon City
~Learning from an environmentally advanced country, Kanazawa in the future~」

With the Japanese government's declaration of carbon neutrality by 2050, companies will be required to make more efforts towards decarbonization than ever before.
In the first part, Mr. Kenji Fuma, the general supervisor of this summit, will give a lecture on the necessity for companies to work on decarbonization and how carbon neutrality will affect them.
In the second part of the Green Summit, we will connect to Freiburg (Germany), a city with advanced environmental technology, to discuss Kanazawa's future initiatives with reference to overseas examples.

「Let's Start an IT Education City in Kanazawa!」

In order for Kanazawa to become a shining city in the age of advanced IT, a forum will be held to present the results of students' IT education practices (Part 1) and to exchange opinions on the next generation of IT education (Part 2).
In the first part, under the theme of "nursing care, tourism, and food loss," students will give presentations on their business plans that assume the use of IT.
In the second part, a talk session will be held to exchange opinions on IT literacy education from the multifaceted perspectives of "IT, social business, and education" to explore future IT education measures.

We will hold a program to conclude the KANAZAWA MIRAI SAMMIT 2021 - Kanazawa City for the Next Generation.
We will have a review of this summit with the speakers who have participated in each program so far. We will also discuss concrete actions that we can take starting today under the three themes of "Future Society," "Future Economy," and "Future Human Resource Education.
